Hi I am David Traiforos, a 40 year member of the fire service. Currently serve as the Fire Chief of the Berkeley, IL Fire Department. Retired after a 30 year career with the Franklin Park, IL Fire Department. Having come up through the ranks also served as Chief of Department for over 10 years. Also work as an Instructor for the Northeastern IL Public Safety Training Academy "NIPSTA" in Glenview, IL.

One of my hobbies is Fire Photography. Have been responding to fires and taking photos since childhood.

This website allows for firefighters to view moments captured at fire scenes where my camera and I traveled. In addition to viewing photos you can also view video clips. When you are browsing the site and you see an arrow on a photo, just click on the arrow and the video will play.

Am a member in good standing of the New Jersey Metro Fire Photographers Association (NJMFPA) and the Chicago Southside FOOLS (DUTY PRIDE TRADITION).

Have always been a fan of the FDNY, Detroit, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore City and older east coast Fire Departments. Have received Honary Membership at Detroit's E-31 & TMS4.
E-34 "The Lords of Livernois." In addition to "Honorary Membership" at the "HARLEM ZOO" E-59,
L-30 in Harlem, NY.
